Sveti Stefan - 5th July

It was a typically warm and sunny day on the Mediterranean coast so I was happy to have a swim in the pool and then relax with the laptop working on this website for a while. After some satisfactory progress on the website and as the heat of the day was receding it was time to get out and see what else was around the small village of Sveti Stefan.

Aman Sveti Stefan's Private Beach

From Sveti Stefan there is a wonderful coastal walk through some of Aman's other exclusive hotels to the very popular seaside town of Przno.

View to Villa Milocer from the coastal walk

The first experience along the way is the rather spectacular Aman Resorts Villa Milocer. The beach is well protected, the water is beautifully clear and the landscaped grounds are a wonderful setting for the villa. The beach was understandably uncrowded….

There is no doubt about the exclusivity

After walking past Villa Milocer the pathway continues around the coast and over the headland to Przno. Along the way the path passes more hotels being refurbished and built and the old olive groves and forests.

A stark contrast to Villa Milocer - Przno

Przno is a bustling area with a much more active and connected waterfront area compared to Sveti Stefan. Przno has several restaurants, hotels, casino, bars and cafes alongside the pathway adjacent to the beach.

Busy on and off shore in Przno

After the walk through along the coast in the warm Mediterranean weather Przno was a great spot to stop for an ice cold breather by the water's edge. As you might expect it was a great spot to stop and watch all that passed by. After a relaxed pause it was time to head back to Sveti Stefan.

Sveti Stefan sun sets

After another pause beside the water at Sveti Stefan, watching the sun set, it was time for a nice dinner up in the village before an early night since I was planning to go for a sightseeing ride tomorrow.

While I was waiting for dinner I met some of the regular visitors from Russia who have been coming to Montenegro for years. Dimitri, and his son Kirill, enjoyed coming to Sveti Stefan where they spent most of the school holidays as a family. It was interesting to meet them and talk since Dimitri's english was quite good and he was trying to encourage his son to practice his english language speaking with me.
