Blowing Away The Dust

After moving to the U.A.E. in early 2008 (at the peak of the property development boom) to undertake a master planning / urban design role with one the of the regions largest real estate 'developers' I soon longed to ride a motorcycle again.

Although the real estate bubble burst shortly after arrival I believed I would be staying long enough to justify the purchase of a motorcycle. 

In early 2010 I purchased a BMW R1200GS - I had missed riding so much and I had started dreaming of a motorcycle adventure somewhere after I finished my time in the UAE, which I knew was inevitable. 

I was still in Abu Dhabi in early 2011 so I upgraded to the R1200GS Adventure with the goal of setting off on this adventure.

At the end of 2011 the time came, without a job, it was time to make the plan a reality…..
